I am having trouble getting "Treat MPEG audio as non-DVD compliant" to work in DVDMF5. I have the latest patch update installed for DVDMF5. In addition to the "Treat MPEG audio...." option checked, I also have the "Do not convert MPEG complient files" option check as I do not want to waste time re-encoding the video. I am trying to convert only the audio portion form MPGEG to AC-3 while not re-encoding the video portion of the MPEG.
When I author with both options checked as described above, the video portion is not re-encoded which is what I want, but the audio portion still comes out as MPEG instead of AC-3.
My original MPEG was captured from my Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 card using WINTV2000 capture program. The captured file format is:
video:
MPEG-2 video, upper field first
24 bits 720X480, 4:3
29.97 frames/sec
variable bit rate, max 8000kbps
audio:
MPEG audio layer 2
48Khz, 16 bit stereo
layer: 2
bit rate: 384 kbps
Am I doing something wrong to not allow MPEG audio to AC-3 conversion
when both options are check as described above or is this a bug in the software?
Thanks in advance
Scott
