I just bought PI 11, and now I discover there's a new version. Must I pay another $50 for an upgrade to the current version? Some software companies offer free upgrades if a user has purchased the previous version within a couple months of the new release. Is there such a program for PI 12?

Same here. My experience tells me they'll never reply. Ulead's customer service is handled by element5, but they always refer me to an e-mail address. I've sent several e-mails in the past... on this and other questions... but Ulead never responded.neilruth70 wrote:I'm interested to know the outcome of this as i bought PI 11 2 weeks before PI 12 came out. I've been in touch with customer services twice via their e-mail form (no phone or address) and no reply.

The key to this is customer loyalty.
In the age of competitive markets, you need to offer great service
in order to win more business and keep existing business.
I bought PSP X at the same time, Corel have just released PSP XI
and i called them here in the UK, they picked up the phone, e-mailed
me a claim form and as i was in the 30 days before and after release period, i got the product a 25% of the original price. I guess this is media
costs, handling and shipping. They even called me back to stay they've
proceed my order and it will be with me in the next 3-5 days.
I mentioned Ulead, they said that it was a sensitive time and they
can't discuss it.
Corel have great customer service support.
Not seen anything from ulead yet.... already ignored 1 e-mail from

Customer services got back to me, after several exchanges i had
provide them with the invoice of the purchase, which i got from amazon.co.uk.
They gave me the a unique link to download the PI12 Upgrade.
It's 90MB, it looked small compared to what i was expecting,
then i thought, it will do an in-place upgrade... no... installed PI12
alongside PI11, and it's missing most of the components and new
components unique to PI12....... I've been in contact, waiting for
a reply.

Free upgrade will be entertained if you purchase the previous version within 15 days prior to the release of the new version. Just provide your purchase confirmation and the like
You can always email the customer service for such concerns.
And regrading the missing components, all you need is the component download link, feel free to email the Ulead CS (not Element 5 CS) and as for the link.
I guarantee that they will entertain your questions, just have patience and give some allowable time to process your querry. Think of hundreds of emails to process everyday...
Thanks.
