unable to run photo express 4.0

I have used iphoto 4.0 for over a year now. All of a sudden, it stopped working. When I double click, nothing happens. We have uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. When I ctrl-alt-del, I find that it is running in the background. My son says it has something to do with spyware, but hasn't gotten around to helping me fix it (I'm not sure he knows how.)
Any help out there?

The same here!

I've installed the program also on my notebook and it's exactly the same thing. Both have XP SP2 installed.

if using windows xp run in comptibility mode of windows 98/me this solved problem for me

To run in compatibility mode is also available in Windows 2000. Right click on the program shortcut or the exe file and then select Properties->Compatibility Mode.

Can anyone help me? I have tried running in comptibility mode and it did work for a while but now it will not load again. I have uninstalled and installed it also stepped it back in XP, still no joy. I have to use Photo Express 3.0 this works fine.

I don't know what is your problem but I have been running PEX4 from day 1 without any problems. I have changed my PC 3 times & running in WinME & now in WinXP pack 2. I make it a point to custom install everytime - load everything including all the project templates. The projects open faster and more smoothly.
