MF5+ not making BluRay folder???
MF5+ not making BluRay folder???
I tried varoius scenarios from simple menus with no chapters to complex menus.. everytime I try to make BD folder the process is aborted saying failed to create VOB file.... my clips are mpeg2 program streams from sony HVR A1 camera after editing with premiere 2.... did not try to use original program stream files.... what's wrong?
Maybe this has to do with having the right codec problem (like WMV-HD compression probleme I've been discussing with JCHunter in hd tutorial of videostudio forum) because MPEG2 Program File are more compressed to fit in BR or HD-DVD format.
I've been asking more or less the same question today in this MF5 forum.
since I found out how to compress to WMV-HD by installing the good codec and encoder. I still dont know what to to with those file and didnt try to see if I can use MF5+ to put fils in a normal 4.7 GB DVD-R disc.
Hope to get the answer

HD DVD is different with BD, they are not compatible (for now, and so does the player).
I would first check if the source files have any problems. Sometimes MPEG-2 files from Adobe products would have issues with Ulead's. I would try the suggestion from MD to capture the source in DVDMF, edit it then burn.
Or you will need to use some third party tool to convert the Premiere source to be compatible with Ulead.
Hope this helps.

Do you have the original release (download?) of MF5 (not the plus version)?
I rememebr buying it on release and it had the BR module included but it didn't work properly and was removed fairly quickly after release and only re-incorporated in the recent MF5+ version?
I recall trying to something similar to you and it wouldn't complete the process?
I think this is correct, although it is going back a few months and I now use MF5+ so can't verify with it
