I was having trouble with my transistions "blocking" or getting fuzzy on the final dvd so I went to the website to research.... I also went into the advanced settings for mpeg messing around and NOW..... I can't get my menu to active to author. I'm getting a "an unsupported operation was attempted". Can someone help me troubleshoot????
Also isn't there an on-line "live" help???
thanks

Getting an error message when trying to make menu
If you've messed-up the MPEG settings, and you don't remember what the original settings were, you might have to re-install.I also went into the advanced settings for mpeg messing around and NOW..... Program defaults for the Variable Bit Rate in Workshop 1
Before I completely re-install and lose data to gain the program defaults I thought I'd check and see if someone can tell me what the defaults are or what they are using.
On the Disc Template Manager: I need the bitrate used for both the High & Fair VBRL, LPCM .
Also on the Mpeg2 Capture Settings: For both high and Fair, what is the bit rate? Also if you go to the "advanced" you can choose an output frame type. Should this be Progressive frame or Field Order A or Field Order B.
Appreciate in advance any help someone can send my way.
Thanks
Barb

I just noticed that you are referring to Workshop 1. The following may not apply, but it's worth a read.
What Bit Rate Settings etc Should I use? by sjj1805

You should also search for and delete all relevent .ini files after uninstalling. I don't have v 1, so I can't tell you what/where they are, but they are probably somewhere under Docs & Settings and you may need to check that you wish to see hidden and system files.
If you are up to it, back up your registry and remove all references to it, as well or, at least, use a registry cleaner, after uninstalling.
