Lower Third Graphics in VS10+

Post by blplhp »

Is there a tutorial for using/editing lower third graphics in VS10+? I know they are created in PhotoImpact 12, and can be imported into VS10+, but how do you maximize this effect and edit it in VS10+?

I didn't see a specific tutorial for this in the video tutorials sections.

Thanks.
Cheers,

Bryan P.

You're right Brian, there's not...:(

However give some idea at what you are looking for and I'll see what I can cook up. However I'll bet Steve beats me to it...:)

I use Cool3D PS for creating most of my lower thirds, unless I'm in a hurry, then I just use text with the background.

Are you wanting something that looks like the 6 O'clock news? A couple of weeks ago I used one like that, and a crawler. These were done for MSP..

Hi Ron,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I will most likely use PhotoImpact 12 for creating the lower third graphic and then import the file into VS10+. I would like to use something like the 6 o'clock news or like ESPN maybe for doing lower third graphics. Just exploring what possibilities and range of use there is for this effect, and how to make it work in VS10+. I've never tried lower third graphics before, and I want to take advantage of this feature offered in PI12. I know that PI12 just creates the template and the range of use is edited in VS10+. My first use for this feature will be my current video project, which is my daughter's two year birthday party.

Thanks.
Cheers,

Bryan P.

Lower Third Graphics in VS10+

Hi Ron P.

Did you ever have a chance to "cook something up" for me regarding lower third graphics? I know you've been busy with the temporary forum and helping to get the permanent web board back to original condition, but I was just curious if you have had a chance to help me with this. Thanks.

:) :)
Cheers,
