Tilted Titles - VS9

Post by dayler »

Here's what I want to do: I have a video shot outside of a moving car. The shot is of the road as it winds through a forrest (fall colors). I want to have titles (text) go from the bottom of the screen to the top, but I want them to be tilted to match the angle of the road. It would also be nice to have the titles go left and right as they move up the screen (following the road) but I would settle for the tilt.

Any ideas?

I believe that's in the format of the star wars text.
There was a post on here relating to that and how to do it, try searching for star wars in forum search.

I'd look myself but I'm already late!!

With VideoStudio, I see no edit functions for tilting title text.....only vertical orientation. Unless someone knows of another secret button or a trick to use.

The only workaround that I know would be to create your text in an image editing application, then import it as an image with transparency, like PNG or TGA. Then you can use the distort clip to get the tilt.

Or you could create the title in WMM (windows movie maker) it has a starwars effect for text. Then bring that into VS.

For using an image to create this text effect see this tutorial :
