PC Crashed

My PC crashed and I lost VS 7 but I have the serial number. How can I get VS 7 back or an upgrade? Thanks.

So you don't have a copy of your ESD version of VS7? You could try to contact Ulead or Element5 to see if you could get it, it is doubtful, since VS7 is a Phased-out program.

You can upgrade to VS10+ (the current version) here:

If you decide to go with the ESD (download) version, one of the first things you need to do is burn the file onto a CD or DVD. (I think you know that now..

)

Thanks for the reply. Can I download and install the upgrade without having VS7 loaded on my PC?

With VS10+ you should be able to. It just will ask for your VS7 serial number.

Hey vidoman I went to download VS10+ and I found this note.

"NOTEs:

This upgrade can only be purchased directly from Ulead. Upgrade is not available in retail stores.
A non-trial version of one of the above products must be installed on your system in order to install the Upgrade version. If you only have the free trial version of one of the above products, please purchase the full version ."

If you have a legitimate serial number then you should be able to purchase the upgrade. VS7SE, ect are eligible for the upgrade. The TBYB, ie trial versions are not.

When you go to purchase and upgrade, you will get a window asking you to enter the serial number for the product you currently own, to verify that you are eligible. Then you can proceed to purchasing..
