Picture Show Loading Problem (DVDPS.exe?)

Post by D2O »

I just sarted getting a loading problem where it says DVDPS.exe Entry Point not found? The error message in detail says: Procedure entry point S2RECoCreateInstance3 could not be located in the dynamic link library S2REVideoConverter.dll.

I have unistalled the software and reinstalled it and I continue to get this problem. I am unable to use Picture Show at the moment. It always worked fine before. I did download the version 3.0 Trial version about three days ago but version 2 worked fine until today. I have uninstalled 3.0 and still have the problem.

Suggestions welcome!

Remove both DVDPS version and install DVDPS 2 only to see if it fixes.

Hope this helps.

DVDPS.exe Problem Solved

Post by D2O »

The procedure to second question in FAQs Type "Installation/Download" re error message U32BASE.DLL worked. The procedure suggested by Ulead starts with "There may be some conflict in your windows registry.-----"

D2O (Jim Miller)

P.S. I am not sure why but it works! I am I little worried about Version 3 after reading all the forum comments. Maybe in loading updates for V2 things got messed up. I am holding on any updated to Version 3..0 Anyway, I found my solution compliments of Ulead FAQs!

Rply from Tehnical Support

See my last response.

This just came in from Technical Support. If the problem comes back I will try this:

FROM TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Please try the following steps:

1. Delete all files on your C:\Windows\Temp directory.
2. Make sure that you have enough drive space for your program files. Remove unnecessary files and programs to free up some hard disk space.
3. Remove unnecessary files and programs to increase free space of drive C.
4. Close other running programs or applications including antivirus, norton utilities, screensaver, other memory resident programs including Internet connection, etc. to avoid unnecessary conflict and restrictions within your system while using the software.
5.Check your hardware/software/OS. Make sure that all hardware devices (including printers, scanners, etc) are properly connected. Also, make sure that drivers are installed and compliant to your OS. 6. Defragment your hard drive. Check if there are any disk errors or lost file fragments that may have caused damage to some of your software applications. Although your computer memory is enough, still, good buffering method can improve your computers performance.

If the problem still persists, please reinstall your software by following the steps below:
1) Purge the temp files in c:\windows\temp
2) Uninstall PictureShow from control panel Add/Remove programs
3) Reinstall PictureShow again

Please restart your computer after each installation.

To avoid the unnecessary conflict, please temporarily turn off all running applications including anti virus, Norton utilities, or the other memory resident program and the Internet connection etc. before you install the software.

Note: Be sure to logon as Administrator when installing the software to avoid restrictions.

If you have also installed other burning programs or software, try to temporarily uninstall all existing burning programs, and then just install the PictureShow + its patches by following the mentioned steps above.

DVDPS.EXE has generated errors

Post by stubing »

Hi

Hopefully someone will have an answer for me. I could not find it anywhere.

When i try to open a folder with JPG i get the following message :"DVDPS.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows". I get the message only with that one folder. All other jpg folders seem to open correctly.

I transferred the jpg to a different folder but got the same. I disinstalled & re-installed the program with no success.

Any idea ??

thank you

I think one of the JPG files in the folder is not compatible with Ulead or is corrupted. You might need to use Windows Explorer to rename the JPG files one by one to know which JPG file is the problem.

You can also contact Ulead Tech Support for the problem.

Hope this helps.
