Error message when starting Launcher

Post by uesjd »

I've got DVDMF5+ (boxed version).

When I try to start the Launcher, I get the following error message:

Code: Select all

The exception unknown software exception (0xc00000fd) occurred in the application at location 0x7c90eddc.

Click on OK to terminate the program.
Then the program closes.

I can run the individual components of the program (e.g., MovieFactory, or BurnNow) alone, but I cannot get the Launcher to run.

I did not have this problem with the trial version that I downloaded and installed before deciding to buy the full version.

Any ideas on what is causing the problem, and/or how to solve it?

Did you uninstall the trial version before installing the full version.
If not it has been known to cause problems.

In that case run the MovieFactory installation program again and you will see a repair option. Give it a try.

I'll give it a try. But between this problem, and the other issue I've experienced (in a separate thread), I'm not encouraged about this software. The features are great, and I like the variety of templates, but it seems as if it needs a little work before it's ready for prime time.
