Missing Menu Template

Post by marlauca »

Somehow my Videostudio 9 menu template has gone missing or been corrupted. When I try and produce a menu I get the following message: "can't find menu template". I can reinstall Videostudio but am worried about losing the files which took many hours to create from analog tapes. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

First thing to check is that the templates have not been deleted by mistake.
The template files are located here:
C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 9.0\Template
You should find below that directory, further sub-directories 4_3 and 16_9 and also a file named template.ini

If these are missing then you perhaps need to do a repair installation.
Before doing so make a copy of the following sub-directory and everything below it

C:\Documents and Settings\Stephen\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\9.0
Substitute Stephen with your username.

If you have the installation program on CD rather than a download copy then run the installation program and you will be given a repair option.

Steve,
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm most grateful. The missing files were easily replaced from the backup of my harddrive. I only needed to be told what to look for.
