I use Frontpage and have followed the tutorial to the "T" as far as building and embedding the project as html into Frontpage. It works beautifully in the preview (both the preview and browser version of Animation.Applet & Frontpage) :?but all I get is an error message in a grey box
I recieve the same error as well. How I solved this was to put all the files when you create your html version of your buttons in the same directory on my server.
example: http://www.kayscakeshop.com/buttons.htm
Thanks for that advice - I'll give that a go myself - just thought I let you know though that I popped onto your site URL to view your suggested example but apart from navigation menu all I got on the button.htm page was a blank screen. There is a a notification at the base of my browser "applet umpopup started" but nothing but white screen apart from the nav menu. Tried a few other pages from your navigation options and get all the typed info but pages such as Weddings & special Occasions have the same blank result.
FYI I do run on a fast speed broadband connection and have the latest Sun Java installed. - I'll let you know if I get any further with my reattempt using the program.
Unless you actually meant the navigation bar! My mistake I'm sorry - I was thinking you had a moving gif or photos or something rather than the menu applet.
And yes - I did try your suggestion and embedded all files into the same folder and it works a dream now (though I had to do yet another upgrade on the JAVA 2 version I only upgraded yesterday??? makes no sense really but hey - it's finally working - at least from my system)
Maybe you can post the URL to let other people test to know if it works....
The page from extreme works greate in my browser.

I will happily leave it there as a permanent test for ulead animation applet users. I have also embedded a link to the latest Sun Microsystems Java update (which was the last missing component I needed for the animation.applet to work).....so it's an easy fix for all to update the Java software on your system if all you get is a grey box rather than a scrolling picture.
As extreme mentions above also ensure that ALL the files created by the html version of uaa (pictures etc) are in the same folder on your server as the web page you have the embedded the animation applet. Between this and the latest update of Java it is definitely working.
The only draw back is that those without the latest Java version will probably not be able to view the applet - only way I can see around it is for you to include a link to the Java site at http://www.java.com. To request permission to use a Java logo button and download a copy of the button images see this URL http://logos.sun.com/logosite.jsp?Category=third
Thanks for the link, it also works greate in my IE.
