Just wondering if there is a tool to create your own background templates rather than use the supplied themes.
I am about to purchase the picture show regardless but just wonering if its possible

You can use any image as a menu background. If possible, choose (or crop) to the proper dimensions to match the aspect ratio of your project (i.e.; 4:3 = 720x480 for USA NTSC DVD).
First, select one of Ulead's menu templates that has the style of leyout you want. Then, on the "2 Theme" tab, go to the "Menu" sub-tab and select a new image from anywhere on your computer through the Background Image (add an image file) option. This will replace your Ulead background howver the menu navigation and style elements (menu buttons, etc) will be retained.
