I am using the trial/test verion of VideoStudio version 10. I am trying to create a DVD using some video clips - some VOB and some mpeg. When the preprocessing gets to the first mpeg clip it comes up with the error:
Failed to open the MPEG encoder
From what I read, the MPEG encoder should be installed no? I have done this same type of work with VideoStudio version 6 in the past with no problems.
Thanks for any help.

Mpeg Encoder Error

There's probably something wrong with one of your source video files. You might try making a DVD with just one of the MPEG files.
I'm most suspicious of the VOB file. You should use the Import DVD feature and you'll never see the VOB. If Video Studio can't import the DVD, it probably can't use the VOB directly either.

Both files were created using the batch convert routine - Import DVD did not work. One I converted to AVI and the clips from that file showed up as VOB files. One I converted to MGP (a lot smaller!) and the clips from the file were .mpg. Any of the .mpg files cannot be burned to DVD. Any of the clips from the AVI file can be burned to DVD.
Whenever I try to burn to DVD (or save as DVD file) I get the MPEG encoder error.
Thanks
