Save as: file formats, GIF

Post by JensMahlmann »

Hi,

there's too many file formats in the "Save as" dialogue. I get an annoying vertical scroll bar.

"Open & Save" prefs have the option not to "List all file formats ...".

BUT:

With that option de-activated, the "Save as" dialogue (for some strange reason) won't offer the GIF format any longer!

Therefore, I'd like to manually take out certain formats, like SCI or SCT, which I never use.

Is that possible?

Regards
Jens

EDIT:

I've found a way myself: Remove u32Sct.fio from the FIO directory, for instance, and the SCT format will be gone.

Before you start deleting file extensions;

It isn’t documents and I haven’t tried it but, in Preferences, System., Associate, you can click on the Customize button and make your own file format list. I haven’t tried this so do not know if the Save As will respond in kind to the new list. It is worth a try.
