I think the link will cover it, but if you close Video Studio
and delete the uvs.ini file in Documents and Settings\username\applicatian data\ulead systems\10.0 and then re-open video studio, it should resolve your issue.

Hi

Glad you got it fixed

What I would like to know is why it is happening to so many.
I haven’t had the problem but so many users have.

Trevor
I mentioned in another post earlier today
Photo Impact 12 is Multi User where I have offered a possible explantion to this.
Obviously it is only speculation on my part but would tend to explain a few things.

Hi Steve

The problem in this post relates to lost Video Filter in the library.

Your link appears to point to a ‘multiple user’ query in PI

Trevor
We are talking at cross purposes here. You mentioned that you wondered why some users had problems that others didn't. I was mentioning that I had submitted an observation in another forum that may or may not explain this set of circumstances.

When you purchase a piece of Ulead software by way of download
whether it be PhotoImpact, VideoStudio or any other Ulead product, we are given a link. That link expires after a couple of weeks.

I was putting forward a possible explanation to your comment regarding some users having problems but others not having problems.
That explanation is that if the download link that is supplied is not one given to a certain individual purchaser - but to all purchasers during a particular week, month or whatever. It is possible that file may have slight corruption so that all those users are affected during that time period.

I don't know if it is or isn't the case it is mere speculation.

Hi Steve

Ok Cross Purposes

My reply was meant to be specific to Video Fliters

Why do so many posts relate to lost Video Filters in the library.

It seems a common problem.

We know how to retrieve the library, but how do we fix the problem.

Sorry guys but I think my short response to Trevor has caused a bit of
"Off Topic" confusion. Ignore any references to PhotoImpact.

Please try the cure outlined by TDK1044 a little higher up this thread.

Just to check:

When you did a clean install did the library and its contents revert back to the original library, or are there some of your clips remaining.

The folders that need deleting during a clean install of VS are hidden.

Before you start the clean un-install did you do this:-

Tools--Folder Options—View tab—Show Hidden Files and Folders.

Regards
