HDV FX1 upload problems to VS 9

I recorded my niece's wedding in HD format on an HDV FX1 camera. I now am unable to upload the video to VS9. Is there any way to do that without purchasing that buggy VS10?

Video Studio 10+, which is remarkably stable, is able to capture from the FX-1 if you have XP installed with Service Pack 2.

Video Studio 9 had a plugin for HD video, I used it for untill VS10+. I don't know where the link for the plugin is, but if you have a valid VS9 serial number maybe tech support can give you a link to the plug-in.

VS9 doesn't support HD. There may have been a plug-in, but it's not included in the updates. So, it's either VS10 or something else...
