Adding and Triming Audio to a slideshow

Post by bwatts461 »

I created a slideshow with about 100 slides and was trying to add 5 tracks for the audio. I added track1 and trimmed it to play with slide 1 thru 22. Then I added and did the same for track 2 thru 4 for slides 23 thru 80. I then added track5 with the intention of trimming it to fit the balance of the slides... But I get a message that there is too much audio and it deletes track 2 and 3 from the slide show. You would think the software would give me a chance to trim the track 5 to fit but no such option is there,
When I sent a report to Technical support I get an answer that in effect says that is the way the software works and thats tough......
Is this any way to write software??? I am really susprised since I really thought this software was pretty good......
The only way out of this is to pre-trim track 5 with and external audio editor, but I would have prefered to use PictureShow for this trimming Since they do have the ability to do the trim......
How do other people feel about this problem ?????

I tend to agree that if a particular capability is offered it should perform as specified. That said, a solution such as Ulead's "VideoStudio 10 Plus" is much better suited for those who require a high level of flexibility and editing precision. PS4 has some nice features but you can only push it so far when it comes to customizing your projects.

Adding and Triming Audio to a slideshow

I, too, tried to add more than two audio tracks to my Slide Show, but the third track overwrote the the second track. I solved this by splitting my slide show into three segments. Each segment has two audio tracks. Unfortunately, the audio does not fade out like I'd prefer, but it turned out very nicely. This particular SlideShow was a gift to my sister and her family. She absolutely loved it. I am currently working on my fourth SlideShow, which will be a gift to my niece. The best SlideShow I have done was of my niece's wedding. It contained approximately 30 photos and the audio was a little over five minutes long. I set the slideshow to fit the audio track. It came out beautifully.

There are obvious problems with the program. As for the constant crashing, be sure and save your slideshow immediately, and each time you add additional photos or audio tracks.
