How to get from .iso to disk with MF 5

Post by Epp »

Ok, now this should be easy one for those of you with more than a week's experience with MF 5. Rather than burn to the disk, I created the .iso file on the hard disk. NOW, how do I get it from the file to the disk. I can't find a place in MF5 that allows me to burn from a file to the disk.

thanks

I don't have DMF5, but, MF5+ has the option burn from disk image. It is found on the Copy Disc Menu, on the Launcher.

If that fails, which it may do, use Nero to burn the DVD ISO image - its worked for me for years, unlike MF burns.
MF2, MF3, MF4, MF5, VS7, VS10+, VS12, Nero Vision Express. Ricoh and Sony 16x DVD recorder, Sony HC5 High def camera. Also Canopus ADVC110 for AV/DV input through firewire

If you dont have nero and dont want to pay for a burning program .... CDBurnerXP Pro 3 is a great freeware program for cd or dvd burning. I use it all the time with excellent results. It will burn from ISO image files too.

and CDBurnerXP can "convert" Nero nrg to iso file. This is good to know if you have a bundled Nero OEM version that only handles nrg files.

Nero won't recognize file!

After I updated the MF 5 with the Service Pack, Nero stopped recognizing my ISO files! What gives?

Unlike MovieFactory 5 Plus, plain MF 5 is not a full burning program. It allows you to create your DVD but does not give you the option of burning an ISO image or other straight burning tasks like copying a disk.

As others have suggested, NERO or any other burning software will do that for you.

I think DVDMF 5 SP1 might have associated the ISO file with its Copy Disk module, which you might find in the DVDMF Launcher.

Ah, but it does. I've just used my plain vanilla MF5 to burn a DVD from an ISO file.

MF5 Launcher | Copy Disc | Burn from Disc Image does it. Just as in MF5+, as I understand from what vidoman said earlier, and as Epp seems to have confirmed.
