Burned DVD not recognized by Media Player or Quick Time
I thought this create disk would be the same as Movie Factory. It isn't. I looked at the Video 10 manual and tutorials, but still don't see what I'm doing wrong. The video I created is VBO. It works great on my DVD for my TV and VLC media player reads it. That's fine for me but not for the rest of the world. I selected DVD format, did the share create a video to mpeg 2, had all of the preferences matching the manual and tutorial but I'm missing something. Thanks for your help!

What exactly is your problem? Did you send it somewhere and the person there can't play it on the PC?
Sounds like a missing codec to me. MediaPlayer does not have an mpeg2 decoder installed by default. Installing any of the software DVD players usually fixes that.
If your DVD plays on your DVD player, it is correctly encoded. If it doesn't play somewhere else, the problem is at that end.

DVDMF and UVS are disc authoring packages. For DVD playing, you need a software DVD player.
If you have purchased DVDMF 5 or UVS 10 Plus, for download version you should be able to download InterVideo WinDVD 7 Silver from Element 5 so you can play the disk in your system. For box version the player is included in the installation CD.
If you still wish to use Media Player to play DVD, you need to install a software DVD player like WinDVD so the required DVD codecs (not just MPEG2 codecs) can be installed then you can play the DVD in Media Player.
For QuickTime Player, it does not support to play a DVD.
Hope this helps.
