Slow Convert Runtime

Post by Lagarto_Roca »

I'm at the last few days of the MF5+ trial and while the HD abilities are impressive, this software generally runs too slow.

Audio sync is off or Audio just missing all together or blaringly overmodulated, - or - a perfect product, as long as you don't try to edit.

Final test, just a simple convert from compliant MPEG2 files to a DVD folder. 4 hours for 64 minutes (3.37GB)? That just won't do.

The quality is great but, 4 to 1 ratio is a bit hard to work with.

Is this pretty much the Norm?

It could be normal if you have a mismatch in your source/project settings, causing the program to re-encode the lot.

That was an issue that I corrected and got it down from 8.5 hours to 4 hours.
