Importing PS Brushes

Post by keenart »

I believe is was six weeks ago someone asked if Photoshop brushes could be imported into PI. At the time, I did not know of a way to do so. I have since discovered SourceForge has a small software package that will export/import Photoshop brushes to other applications? Check it out:

NOTE: Using the software does require Microsoft’s Net FrameWork be installed.

The older PS brushes can be imported and used in PI, the newer ones for PS CS, AFAIK, do not work with PI anymore. Adobe have changed something at their end to prevent use in other programs.

Yes, PI cannot open the brushes after CS and Adobe did change the setup of the Effects. However, the problem is in PI. All of my other programs PSP, and other editors, can open the brushes up to the current CS2.
