Nature of the problem: when i play the finished dvd it pixelates really bad in the scenes that have radid movement. i know you guys have heard this before but after getting to the 10th page and not seeing this subject i decided to just ask. i am using a hauppauge pvr 250 to capture video from my cable box. i use beyond tv 4 for the software. the settings i use for the capture are
mpeg-2
quality is best (DVD)
the file size from that is huge. like 12gb but i basically cut it in half and create two dvds. btw i am using a dual layer dvd burner samsung. i do this using movie factory 5. i'm not sure of my properties in ulead right now as i'm not at home but will edit this post once there. anyway so create my menu and preview the video and all looks fine. no pixelating at all. so then i set the burn speed to the lowest and click on burn. it takes about 45 minutes and the dvd is ready. what else do you guys need to know to help me out?
Output format DVD
NTSC
no error codes whatsoever
System information is in my profile
finished dvd is pixelated
Under Project Settings, check the box that says Do Not Convert Compliant MPEG files.
This probably isn't an "error". MPEG is lossy compression. However, at high-enough bitrates (and encoding to MPEG only once) the loss of quality & detail should be minimal.no error codes whatsoever

ok, the way i cut the video in half is basically what you have described here in the 3rd method. however after i trim it using the in/out points i basically just click the next button and it takes me to the menu editing page. so i make my selections and click next once again. then i burn it.
i'll definately try you suggestions. thanx for your response dude.
