Importing a SWF flash movie

Post by AndyMP »

When I import a movie made in flash, I get the animation but none of the text. Why is this and what can I do to fix it ? When I play the swf movie in a standalone player the text is there, it's only in Videostudio 10 that it isn't.

Any help would be appreciated :)

I'm just going to guess that the text is separate, like DVD subtitles or VHS/broadcast closed captions.

AFAIK, Video Studio can't import subtitles or closed captions either. :? (If your analog capture device can decode closed captions, then you can import them as permanent open captions.)

How did you author your SWF and with what application? Is it authored using Flash 8,9,10? It is a SWF and not FLV? For VS9 Ulead released a patch for the latest (at the time) Flash which was 8, and I think that the current release is 9 if not 10. So if possible try to use Flash 8, 6 or 7 to make your SWF.
