I have downloaded four patches from the ulead web. Do I have to do activate them or do they act automatically? They are gdiplus patch, uvs8 patch 1 e,
uvs8 patch 1 se 11 in 1, and uvs8 patch daylight saving.

Hi,

The patches on the web site depend on what version of VS you are using.

A person should only apply a patch to a program if they are having trouble
or the company posts it as a major update or mandatory update.

If it ain't broke don't break it.

Thanks for your help

The background to my query is as follows. I have been editing my first film on VS8 and transitions using cross fade have effected that for the video but not for the audio track. A previous post suggested that the 8.01 patch would allow crossfading of the audio track too. I downloaded 8.01 from the ulead site and saved it as a file. What is the next step? Does the patch automatically attach itself to VS8 or do I have to open it first? I would be grateful for any advice.

You have to install it. Find the directory on your hdd where you downloaded it to and double click on it and it will install itself.
