Which version do I download?

Hey all,

Customer support hasn't opened yet so I thought I'd ask here.

I just purchased the downloadable version of VS10+ and they show 3 full versions available for download on their site.

- Download Full version 133 mb,

- Download the full version (Extra Contents for Ulead VideoStudio 10 Plus - English) 297mb

- Download the full version (Bonus Features for Ulead VideoStudio 10 Plus - English) 240 mb

Which one do I download?

Hi Mitch, welcome to the forums...

You need to download all of them.

The first link is the main program, the rest are for the content. They split up the program into several files for downloading. Read the installation directions carefully. You should download them to the same folder.

Special Note... Once you have them downloaded, burn them to a DVD. If something happens, like your system takes a fatal crash, you will have to prove to Ulead (element5) that you have purchased it, and then you will have to download all of them again. Also be sure, once it is installed, you go to Ulead's site and register the program. It can help later on.

And please post back here if all three downloaded successfully and, more to the point, installed correctly. A lot of us here have been having issues since April (or before) particularly with the Extra Content download...

I succesfully downloaded and installed all three two weeks ago, the links from fifth element worked at first download

May be quicker to approach element5 for a new link, the old one will have expired a few days after you got it

I was never actually in the group that had the trouble downloading. I have a fully working version of VS10+ with all the extra content and extras EXCEPT for non-functioning Album transitions and a couple of missing other transitions. I had simply followed a link (can't remember from where, but think it might have been posted in a thread here) to see what all the complaints were about. I tried it twice and both times got a 'corrupt file' message like all the others who had been trying to download it simply to complete their installations. So in that sense, it makes little difference to me. In the interests of 'science' only!!

Hey all,

Thanks so much for the help.

Just wondering, I installed the first two downloads to the same folder. The last file (zipped file), do I have to unzip that in the same folder as the first two? (program files, ulead etc...)

The program wants to unzip it somewhere else.

The third file is unrelated to Video Studio. As its name suggests, it contains bonus material including the very useful (for titling) Cool 3D and the Intervideo WinDVD player. Let the program unzip them where it wants to, but note exactly where it is so that you can access the unzipped files to run the setup program.
