capture visualizations

Post by peacefrog »

Hi all,
Is it possible to capture (about 40 seconds) of those visualizations that are played on WMP to music? I want to somehow intergrate a particular
visual to the background when "creating a disc" step in VS9?

I have tried using FRAPS but sometimes it starts and sometimes it freezes, so is there another program perhaps?

cheers

:D Suddenly, this is a popular question...

Just be aware that you are going to get some strange formats, including non-standard resolutions and framerates. Video Studio may have trouble editing these formats. If you can't capture to AVI/DV* you may be able to convert the file to DV with Video Studio before you edit, or you may need a 3rd-party program to do it.

*An AVI file can contain video in many different formats. DV is less-compressed than most formats, and users rarely have trouble with it.

I've never tried it myself, but check-out the link above. It's possible that your PC is not fast enough to play the music, generate the graphics, and capture at the same time.
