Each chapter only shows 1st frame, is it a demo-limitation?

Post by anuofgod »

Just installed the demo (DMV5), created 2 test movies(new project - DVD, PAL), with 3 chapters each, based on several .MOV created by my Kodak digital camera, but they show the first frame repeated for the whole duration of each chapter, is this a limitation for the Demo or a real problem?
When creating a slideshow composed only by jpg images, movie is fine.

Hi alex, welcome to the forum. I think you answered your own question. It is not a limitation of the trial version.

I have a problem too, my cristal ball is still out of action. What was it again, that you did, and how?

Have a read of this http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=8960

There is a patch for using Kodak's *.mov files please see it here:
Kodak Patch

What model of Kodak camera are you using? I use the Easyshare P880, and after installing Kodak's miserable software it installed the codec. Since then I have had no problems with using the *.mov files in VS. ( I don't use them, just conducted a test after reading about problems associated with it.)

Thanks, Ron, it was exactly that, I needed the patch.
I would have never thought it was a camera brand issue, always considered all .MOV to follow a certain standard, i.e. if one works, all would probably work.
FYI, my camera is a Kodak Easyshare DX4530.
So now I can conclude: DMF is a fantastic product!
