Hi

What version of VS are you using :?: :?:

VS 9 and 10 can rotate the video.

Older versions use FXBench

Hi

Download fxbench from here.

http://www.burgers-transition-site.de/

When installed it is shown in the Video Filter library(last filter)
Drag the FXBench to the offending clip-select customise-select 'Flip Vertical'

Woodsy,
I think that there maybe a problem with your video clip and/or project properties..

1. Right-click on a video clip select properties and post them.
2. Post what your Project Properties are.
3. How did you get the video clips into your computer
4. What is the source of your video clips (camcorder, DVD, download)

Providing this information may help us narrow down what happened...

I use a DVD cam and I used the magic dvd to mpeg, avi converter to convert the .VRO files. I converted them into mpegs, then dragged them into ulead.

I'm guessing now that they were corrupted during the conversion. Have you tried using the Insert DVD/DVD-VR in VS? Just place your DVD from your camcorder in your PC DVD tray, then in VS right click on the timeline and select Insert DVD/DVD-VR. A browser window will open, where you can navigate to your DVD drive, then select the Video_TS folder. Then another window opens, showing the clips, which you can select to import..

Black and White is the default setting of FXbench.

It appears, that you might just have applied the FXbench filter but did not customize it to 'Vertical Flip'.

When selecting the FXbench filter within the list of applied filters for the current clip, a customize-button should appear. Click on that and the FXbench customize-screen appears. Try to locate 'vertical flip' in the list of filters on the most left side of the screen. Select it and leave the screen with 'OK'.

Another reason may be, that you applied FXbench twice and customized just one of both to 'vertical flip' so that the other occurance is still set to black and white.

Just some thoughts.
