I'm trying out PI-12. When I click on a thumbnail in the EasyPallete for Greeting Cards, or DVD Labels, etc.. I get a message advising that I would need to download the content files. However there is no means to do that. So I'm left wondering if and how these work.
Has anyone else that may be running the TBYB came across this? I know with TBYB's they are reduced versions, however I should think that they are fully functional, meaning that I should be able to access everything and try them.
Where are the content files located for these features?

Hello vidoman, ESD versions are also kept small in file size by leaving out the extra modules like PEX, GA, Album, Cool 360 etc. These and the components for the EP need to be downloaded separately.
The trouble with PI12 is this, there are no extras yet to download from the web site. I haven't had a chance yet to play with my TBYB version but believe that you can import the EP items from your other versions installed.

I realize that the components need to be downloaded seperately. I have been able to use the EP components from PI-11, however there are the new components, Greeting Cards, Labels, that are not included with earlier versions.
Since they don't have any extra components to download, is this also the same if the ESD version were purchased? It seems that they pushed this release out the door way before it was completed...
If anyone has purchased PI-12, could you advise if all the components are present and functioning?

I have been advised (can't positively confirm yet) that the ESD version, when purchased through element5 or who ever your vendor might be, comes with a list of 11 or 12 different download files.vidoman wrote:I realize that the components need to be downloaded seperately. Why ULEAD, in their infinite wisdom, have made available a severely handicapped TBYB download is beyond me.
I must say though, I absolutely love PI 12. It's very stable, quicker and better with memory than PI 11.
I have simply copied the Ulead.dat, Texture, Material and Stamp folder from the Ulead systems folder for PI 11 to the PI 12 folder. At least I can give the program a bit of a work out and only miss out on the new templates etc.

Thanks Heinz,
That's what I was suspecting, however didn't know if it was just me and my system that was missing something on the install.
I'll agree that it does seem more stable, and faster then 11. I've played around with it in the same fasion, using 11's templates.
Thanks again...

NickD, at the "other" forum stated that he got additional downloads from his purchased download link.
So far, I have not purchased it but it's only a question of time and money
I'll be away again on a business trip to Europe the second half of October and will buy PI 12 sometime after that. Having said that
maybe I can't wait that long
