Why doesn't my menu match the tutorial?

Well, it's obvious now, your SE version is severely limited. I wouldn't bother with an upgrade to PI 11. Just played around with the TBYB version of the new PI 12 and must say, I do like it. It's quicker and a lot more stable than PI 11.

The profile is stored as a .xum file. There were a few users who had their menus disappear completely and could not reload them. The fix for that was this
Go into C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead PhotoImpact\11.0\profiles\current.xum and delete the current.xum.

If you have PI open, close it and reopen. Another way to do this is to right click on the side or bottom of the PI window and select 'Open workspace' then click on customize and choose import. You will see the curent.xum. Select it and hit the delete key on your keyboard. Close PI and reopen, the menu bar and everything else should appear as it intended.
Can't do any harm to try this to see if it fixes your problem. Failing that, I can email you one of my profiles to see if you can import that.

Let me know your email address by pm (you don't want to list it here publically 'cause you'd be flooded with spam in no time).
