In effect, you are trying to compare apples with oranges. VS10 and 10+ is essentially a video editing package -- and a pretty good one for the price -- which happens to have an authoring/burning capacity tacked on to round it out. Movie Factory 5 and 5+ is essentially an authoring/burning package (with extras in the Burn Now module), which has some editing tools tacked on to allow it to be used as a stand-alone package if necessary. Quite a lot of us, I would say, use both. For example, I will do my editing in VS10+ because it is fairly sophisticated, but I will author my projects in Movie Factory 5 because I think it does a better job, especially with slideshows of still images. (I am still not convinced VS has this latter quite right -- too many people still have problems making their slideshows in VS10/9/8 ). I am still thinking about getting MF5+ as I think it has added a further degree of sophistication to its editing elements...

But for more detailed info on what both packages (or all 4!) can do, look at the Ulead site. For VS10, look at http://www.ulead.com/vs/features_plus.htm
For MF5 go to http://www.ulead.com/dmf/features.htm and for MF5+ go to http://www.ulead.com/dmf/features_plus.htm
