All patches applied. I'm pretty sure the OS is solid with patches updates, etc.
I'm going to try the latest ATI Driver (dated 10/31/06) and then I may even to resort to formatting and installing VS10 first, then carefully monitoring what breaks it if anything.

I have same SP1 error message

Post by leroyt »

GIVEN all the people with the SAME problem -

I hope the ULEAD staff understand they need to FIX this problem - NOT to make the USERS to clean it up!!

I've installed SP1 twice (after clean original install that worked) and I have the SAME problem - "The Security information is invalid or has been modified. The program will be terminated."

DON'T tell me that is MY PROBLEM!!

Please fix it. :(

Two things.

ULEAD did send the updated SP1 for the TBYB version. Haven't tried it as I FINALLY have my system stable (hopefully). I don't think I am going to clean and re-install again ever!!!

Updated the ATI Drivers and the crashing seems to have stopped.

Again, I don't understand why Sony doesn't have any problems with the older ATI driver and ULEAD does. Who knows?

anyway for anyone interested, upgraded from the 6.09 to 6.10 drivers. If anyone needs more detail let me know.

I am happy that you finally get it working !

Sounds So Familiar + Activation Versus Installation Codes

Post by PhilW »

Dear All,

I raised pretty much the same issue on another thread but people here seem to have the same basic problem. Having *bought* versions 8 and 9 I installed the trial version (download) of version 10 and decided to buy it. I opted for the boxed version as I wanted the security of a physical install and the convenience of a manual. But all I get is the security message mentioned in *this* thread and if I launch VS10 I get a dialogue box asking for an ACTIVATION code rather than the supplied INSTALLATION code. I do not have an activation code ¡V to my knowledge - only the purchased installation code. In short I have a purchased version of VS 10 Plus that will not run and so far no help from Ulead (having mailed them in the UK about this).

Any suggestions for tackling this problem gratefully received. Phil

Sorry had two threads open in different windows and intended to post a message to the other thread. Not quite sure how it ended up in this one.

Security Warning + Software Will Not Run Since Purchased

I too have an Athlon 64 dual core machine and get the security warning message.

Any suggestions for tackling this problem gratefully received. Phil

Well the ATI Driver update did help, but it did not stop the NTDLL.DLL problem. However, I simply move the pop up box to the bottom right of my screen and simply ignore it and it seems to have no effect. I can live with that before reformatting.

Hi Phil, do you submit the tech support form?

http://www.ulead.co.uk/tech/suppform.htm

After you submit the form, make sure you have received the auto-reply mail from Ulead. If you did not receive the auto-reply mail then your form is lost or the spam filter in your mailbox has filtered Ulead support mail as spam.

Make a spam filter rule in your mailbox so it will not filter out messages from Ulead and Explorecommerce.com.

Or you can phone PC HelpDesk for further help.

Hi Frank,

Is there any codec packs or any other audio / video software installed in your system? It seems there are some software conflicts in your system.

Hope this helps.

Dear H.T.,

Many thanks for the prompt reply. I'll check if I got an auto reply from Ulead. Not sure off the top of my head. Will check and let this thread know. In the mean time thanks for jumping in with some Help.

Isn't this great! I have an AMD dual core machine and loaded Win XP with SP2 because Win 2000 didn't capture HD, bought VS10 Friday night and ran into the same issue. I don't care if the dual core thing works but I REALLY NEED the HDR-HC3 patch. Without it I can't output to the camcorder. I know there are make do workarounds but as Yosemite Sam said "I paid for the high diving act, I wanna see the high diving act"

I'll be watching for a reply from "Fearless Freep" (sorry Bugs Bunny)
