Problem with SP1 - VS10+

Post by DiscoLED »

Hi,
In my case a problem has occurred after installation SP1: capture to mpeg2 through TV card (Leadtek Winfast 2000 Expert).
Window preview is OK but captured file is bestudded by a number of colored pixels. Capture to mpeg1, avi, mp4 is perfect. New VS installation does not any change.
Do you know what is a reason? What to do to eliminate that effect? I have Videostudio 10Plus

Did your Leadtek come with any capture software. If so try using that to capture and then import it into VideoStudio.

The capture modules in VideoStudio can be considered as a means of providing an 'all encompassing program' and so the capture routines are effectively general purpose. If you have a program that was tailor made to work with your TV card you will get better results from it.

I have a Hauppauge TV card and use their WinTV2000 software to 'record' any programs. It provides more available settings and controls than any of the Ulead programs and would think the same applies to your Leadtek.

Similarly I use MediaStudio to capture my camcorder recordings even though I may later use VideoStudio for editing - dependant upon what I am doing with the video. The capture module in MediaStudio again appears to be more comprehensive than the one in VideoStudio.

At last the problem has been solved! SP1 has changed some files in
C:\Program files/Common files/ulead systems/mpeg. One of them was file
mpgvout.004. After replacing the mpgvout.004 by its an older version everything was Ok.
