Video darkens when I play it

Video darkens when I play it
Anyone have any idea why my captured video would get very dark when I play it in the preview window. It's the correct color until I press play and then it gets very dark. I know it's not the video itself because I can play it through other programs and everything is fine. This only happens with VideoStudio. Thanks for any help.

Hi there.
I have exactly the same program and the same problem, strangely it worked oncebefore I did a clean install and the only thing I changed then was an updated video driver (Nvidia GF5200) and SP1 (Ulead SP1 and XP SP1 version).
If you have managed to sort this problem out I would be very grateful if you could tell me what you did.
