DEVICE ERROR: CANNOT OPEN WAVE-IN DEVICE

Hi, I can use UVS 10 to record a voice over in my project if it is a new project or it is in the sample movie that ships with the program. However, I cannot do a voice over in the project I have been working on for some time. I get the error message in the subject heading. I did a search of the archives and found someone else had the same problem and never got any answers. Relatedly, I have one movie file in my project that works correctly, but whenever I add more movie files they do not work correctly. Is 512 MB actually enough to run this program as shown on the ULEAD website? Any help please.
