Crash city!?
Holy crap, Batman! Glad I downloaded the trial version first. Crash city!!! I tried to open an AVI captured by Ver. 8...crash! I tried clicking on the Capture button...crash! I tried to set up options for Capture...crash! Man, I wanted less hassle, not more. From what I see in this forum there are ALOT of problems with Ver. 10+. I may have to rethink upgrading or even continuing to use the registered copy of VS I now have. I don't have the time to be an unpaid beta tester.

Re: Crashing
Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, I don't think any of those recommendations will help. This is a week-old Windows Media Center PC. I have deleted all the BS trial software HP insists on putting on their PCs and cleaned out all the unnecessary garbage and defragged several times. I also have two SATA drives with video configured for the 2nd drive along with my swap file. VS isn't the only program having trouble capturing analog video so it has to be a conflict with a device driver or hardware bug. Funny thing, the version of Sonic MYDVD that came with it works flawlessly. That is, it did until last night. I figured since I found a program that worked I'd spring for the upgrade to their Ver.8. Now it too crashes when capturing analog video. Problem with that is the install removed the version that worked. I can restore it, thankfully, from the original CD, but I'll see tomorrow if I can get a refund. Thanks for trying.Kenneth Veal wrote:Have a look at
