Help with name of download - VS9

Post by Captain Kremmen »

Hello,

I purchased VS8.0 as a physical disc in 2004 from amazon.co.uk which I still have.

I bought my wife a video ipod when they came out about November 2005?

I tried to make her some videos and could not as VS8 did not support the ipod video format.

I bought VS9 upgrade which came with a ipod video codec, again I guess this was about November 2005. I THINK I downloaded this from the ulead store rather than buying a physical disk.

This is all installed on my computer and working fine.

Last week I bought a new computer, I have installed VS8 on it, and am ready to install VS9 but can't find it???

I need to find it as I want to reformat the drive on the old computer and it will be lost forever then.

IF I bought the VS9 upgrade as a download, which I think I did, can anyone tell me what that file would have been called. It will be on my hard drive but I have looked everywhere and can not find it, without knowing what it is called it is difficult!!

Thankyou

Andy Watkins

I have found a folder within my VS9 installation called "Smart download" that has a number of large files dated 16th and 17th December 2005. I think this may be the download I purchased, I have to try and work out how you run it if it is?

All help gratefully received!

Your smart download folder may only contain the extras you downloaded after the installation of VS9.

As to the actual name of your downloaded file, it's anybodies guess, unless someone has downloaded the same file once.

Look for something along these lines
upi11_esd_e.exe
. This is the name of the downloaded version 11 PhotoImpact installer. Hopefully ULEAD follow a certain naming convention for their download files.
