PS4 fail to burn when retrieveing music from server

Post by digable007 »

Hey all... Have had great luck with PS4, to date over 400 projects with no probs, until now. I have recently purchased a new WD netessentials server and uploaded all music I use for DVD's. Unfortunately the PS4 went to 71% of the process and failed to burn when it was supposed to "write to disk" instead the message says "burn process completed". I tried it 2 times with the same error message.

Has anyone heard of any issues when using a server to create DVD slideshows? Just music is on server.

It's not suggested to burn files from network because sometimes the network connection might not be stable. Try burning the files from local hard disk.

Thanks but the program is fixed now, I think it was a combination of things that caused the "Fail to burn" it was not only from the network but in general.

I think part of the problem was the XP program and the desktop management program that removes unused icons from your desktop, I might have done this by mistake and erased the Ulead Auto Detector. Also the installation of the DiVX player might have disturbed something. It works like all the other players just with its own codec and it must have automatically changed all the multi-media files to use the DiXV player by default.

I cleaned up the drives and from reading various posts the general idea was to re-install the program, after I did that I was able burn to my DVD -Burner and use the network in the burning process.

Thanks for the input but it does work off/on a network gathering files and using them in your projects.
