Transparency in the overlay track

Post by brucefl »

Hi,
I am trying to put a picture in the overlay track and make the white around it transparent. There supposedly is an eye dropper someplace to pick the color.
Says click the color box, then select the color to be transparent? I have been to the mask and chroma key section, but I don't see anything?
Is there something I am missing?
Below the transparency setting and border drop down boxes, is a large gray square, is there suppose to be something there?
thanks Bruce

Hi Bruce

Select your clip in the overlay track.

Select Mask and Chroma Key

You will not be able to use Fade-in when using the Chroma effect.

If you are using still images use Gif with a transparent background.

In the Attribute tab you have the checkbox for Apply Overlay Options, underneath that is Type (Chroma Key or Mask), then Similarity. That box is where you choose your "eyedropper" color. Please note that the Apply Overlay Options box has to be checked for this to be active.
