help why wont this file work and another wont?

yo one of my video files is able to work while another simliar file type wont. when on opening a file it shows it on avi which both of them are however when i try to open the file one works the other doesnt please help me out...

Why can I open one bottle with my bare hands and for the other I need tools?

Just because the file extension is AVI in both cases, the contents could be entirely different. You may be missing a codec.

Please complete your system specifications as per the
First link above and then we will be able to see your system specifications simply by clicking the Image button and will also save you from having to re-enter this information in any future posts.

You then need to provide the other information as outlined in the Second Link.
We do not know which Ulead product you are using as you have posted this into a general discussion forum.
