hogger,
When you are in Share|Create Disc, the first screen is the media file timeline screen that shows all of the video file(s) in your DVD project. In VS9, do you have a check box called "Create menu"? If so, unselect it. This will negate the use of a main menu. As long as you don't select any chapter points by clicking on the Add/Edit Chapters button, you should not have any chapter sub-menus either. This should provide you with a DVD file with just your video material and no menus.

As far as I am aware, all you do, when you have gone through Share > Create Disc, is to UNcheck the 'Create Menu' box that appears on the first page of the burning module. You simply add your video files as usual, select Next (to preview your compilation -- when you press the play button, it should go straight to the first video file and not display any title page or other menu pages). Then you move to the final page and burn your disc or image file or DVD folder...

First off thank you for your quick replies
I forgot to mention that I was trying to add chapter points to my video and as Bryan P stated I guess you can not have chapters without menu.
Also both of you are correct if you UNcheck the 'Create Menu' box it will create a straight video with nothing else .
I guess I’ll try and reauthor in another program and add the chapters
Thank again

In VS10, you can select chapter markers (cues) in the video editor while editing. In VS10, once you selected chapter markers in the editor, you could then go to Share|Create Disc (skip the Share|Create Video File step) and import your project vsp file into the media file timeline of the DVD burner module, and get your chapters that way without having to create a chapter sub-menu. Unfortunately, I don't believe VS9 provided the feature of selecting chapter markers in the video editor. So with VS9, the only way to get chapters is to set them in the DVD burner module, but this will automatically create a chapter sub-menu that you cannot delete, which is something that you don't want. Maybe its worth upgrading to VS10 or VS10+?
