TDKMiniDV TAPE TO EDIT BUT HAS RECORDED UPSIDE DOWN

Post by Charles Gillard »

Help,
A friend has given me a TDK Mini DV tape to edit for him, Ive used my Panasonic NV-DS60 camcorder to transfer the video to my computer hard drive but because he used some sort of aux lense that he fitted to his crash helmet for the original video footage its ended up recorded upside down.

What can I do now, should I some how corect it and record it back to camcorder or can I correct it in my Ulead video studio 8 program some how.

Don`t want to let my friend down any suggestions.

Hi Charles

Video Studio 9 and 10 has a rotate option through 90 degrees.

Hit this twice and the video will rotate 180.

I do not know what the quality will be like :?:

Now Jeff that's just being silly and I am surprised at your response. Quite obviously all the OP needs do is turn the TV/viewing device upside down.

You can upgrade to version 10 for $59.99 US. It has some great improvements over versions 8 & 9, such as multiple overlay tracks, 5.1 surround sound, HD editing & authoring, and other cool stuff.

As for my "string of software alternatives", those are just some of the different software and supplies that I use. The list is actually in my signature, such as those witty sayings you might see after other peoples names. I had nothing witty to say at the time so I just listed some software.

And, you can have VS 8 and the upgrade to VS 10+ live side by side, if I'm not mistaken. I had VS 5, VS 6 and MSP 7.3 live side by side for a while. Only after my last rebuild did I not install the VS versions anymore, just don't use them.

You can also do a flip with Stefan Burger's FXBench, which is a free plugin that works with Videostudio 8/9/10:

Hi Charles

Once you have installed the FXBench to your PC, the filter will be in the Video Filter section of Video Studio. Last filter in list.

Drag this to your clip, just like any other filter.

Now press Customise Filter for the full list of filters.

Select ‘Flip Vertical’
