Ulead V10plus how to capture image to SAVE as Jpeg?

Post by chinalewis »

I have HDV Sony Fx1 and want to save a captured image as a JPEG image. This is very easy in MS Window Movie maker. You simply capture video. Hit capture image button and then Save to File as JPEG image. I cant find way to do this with Ulead. Can you do this with Ulead?

With a video in the timeline and the program in Edit mode, identify the frame you want to save or put the slider over that spot of the timeline, and choose 'Save as still image' which appears as one of the Video tab options in the middle right of the VS10 screen. In File > Preferences > Capture, you will have selected the format it would be saved in. And it should be saved to your designated working folder. Moreover, a thumbnail of the still image will appear in your Image library pane.

To add to Ken's excellent tip, you may also wish to DEINTERLACE the image during capture.

You can do this by clicking...

1. FILE > PREFERENCES;

2. When the pop-up menu appears, then you can click the CAPTURE TAB and then check the IMAGE CAPTURE DEINTERLACE check box.

Hope this helps,

Hi

Just to add a little more:-
You may wish to use the option Tools-Save Current Frame as Image.
You have to be in Project Playback.

This will save the frame as you see it in the preview window.

This option is useful when working with widescreen as the captured image will not be distorted.
