Thanks HT, I have not applied the update pack because I didn't know there was one lol. But I will definitely download it now and give it a try. I appreciate the help.

This is totally off-topic, but I could not help but laugh outright at a delightful typo in the Ulead September email newsletter advertising PI12. Speaking about noise reduction, there is a Before and After photo of a young woman with a (to me) somewhat evident nose. And the accompanying text says:

"Reduce Noise — More powerful and much, much faster, PhotoImpact 12’s enhanced *nose* reduction gives you cleaner images then ever before. Use auto mode in ExpressFix or full adjustment in the Photo menu." [my emphasis around 'nose' added...] :!: :!:

Maybe it's some kind of humor. :)

Maybe the 'nose' reduction feature is directed towards Tobie at Ulead . I'm pretty sure he uses the moniker 'bignosetw' on these forums.

(I have met Tobie, and I didn't notice anything unusual about his nose, by the way.)

PhotoImpact 12?

Post by steluzz »

So, we have been waiting for a second update to PhotoImpact 11 after the first one that just fixed some terrific problems and now we have it!
It lets tool like HDR, noise reduction, etc. working as they should (Ulead claims...).
The only problem is, it is called PhotoImpact 12 and we MUST pay for!
Ulead: be more serious, please!

I just purchased PI11 on 9/18, and now to get the bug fixes I have to buy PI12? Surely they jest?

I've given up on trying to speak with a human being who knows an answer to any question I have. Today I asked for a refund.

Needless to say, this is the last ULead product I will ever purchase and, as far as I can tell, nobody at ULead will care one bit.

You may have a point there. The total number of your posts also shows just how hard you tried to get your problems, if you had any, solved :D

He tried to contact support, which is customary way of solving problems with supported software. That counts I think?
