VS9 or DVD movie factory for authoring DVD's ??

Depends on how much you want to do with your menus. If you are not too fussed about your menu styles and possibilities, VS will suffice. If you really are fussy about it, DVD Workshop would be better. Just look at the comparisons on the Ulead web site http://www.ulead.com/dmf/compare.htm

I think Ulead VideoStudio is the better value because the editing tools are more robust.backhojo wrote:is there any advantage using DVD movie factory to set up menus and author the DVD or is the share/create disc function in VS9 adequate ? any opinions welcomed please.
The editing tools in DVD MovieFactory are limited by comparison.
As was already mentioned, however, it is true that the DVD output options available in DVD MovieFactory are more robust than the DVD authoring module of Ulead VideoStudio.
DVD Workshop's menu creation capabilities, as mentioned, are superb.
