A few months ago I had mentioned a problem with the strobe filter. I'm having the same issue again, although I haven't used the strobe filter in the last several projects.
As an example:
1) I have 5 clips in a time line
2) Lets say I place the stobe filter in clip #4
3) When the filter is applied, I get parts from a previous clip in the same time line.
I've reinserted the original cd & repaired. Did a system restore, reinstalled VS10+ still have same issue. Only happens with strobe filter.
I've been a VS user over 2 yrs & made dozens of projects. I'm at a lost.....luckly I don't use the strobe filter too often.

Hopefully you're using DV and not MPEG.
Take the clip you want to add a strobe filter to separately from anything else
and add your strobe filter. Render the clip to a new file. Now use that new file (with the strobe effect already done) instead of the original clip.
OK you end up rendering twice but sometimes it is better to break a project up into smaller more manageable parts.
