No wave form in AUDIO VIEW

Post by Seaweed »

Using VS 10, I have been working on Video Clips. Everything was going well in all views when, unexpectedly the program seem ceased displaying the wave form in the AUDIO VIEW.
The assembled clips (6 minutes) work well--clip audio and music are ok.
The wave form row reads "Loading wave data" wherever is is present in the audio view.

I've rebooted a couple of times, checked to see that my register and shortcuts are ok.

Tried a clip in a new project. Seemed to work, but took time to do so.

I suspect that somehow I've got a contaminated file and may have to start over.

Anyone have any experience troubleshooting this kind of problem?

Thanks,

Have you tried loading the VS CD and using the Repair option?

Thanks, but I review the two CDs and could not find the option you suggested.

More and more it's beginning to look as if my AVI file (AVI-1) has become defective. If I try a new project and use another AVI file, everything--including the wave form--seems OK.

If so, I have no idea why this happened...

I tried simply COPYING the AVI file, but that produced the same unfortunate result....

Further comments from anybody?

I did finally discover the REPAIR option you mentioned (when I began to REMOVE) the program. I tried it, but it didn't resolve the problem.

So, I removed the program, rebooted, and re-installed VS 10. Problem still appears to be there, even when I try loading a scene from another AVI program.

The Problem again: No Wave form

After I leave the program, I get the message that there is a problem with ULEAD. I push debug...but nothing seems to resolve it.

HELP!
