Hi,
I have a strange problem: A media clip (*.avi; when played in the media library with perfect sound) looses it's audio when put in the time line, I mean you can see it has sound in the audio-line, the audio-options are the same as the clip before that (with good sound) but you can't hear anything on playback...
some of the other clips, if you put them in the same place on the timeline work perfectly, some don't
any suggestions on what could be causing this problem? it's driving me crazy...
PS Sorry for my bad english (i'm dutch)
msp8 audio problem...
Right-click on the clip to see what its audio properties are. When you view the waveform of the audio, does it look wavy or like a straight line ? (View-Timeline Display Mode).
You say it happens with various clips - have you tried re-installing your audio card's drivers.
With video editing I find I have to re-install Drivers, the Applications, DirectX, and XP regularly as they seem to keep getting corrupted. Remember - everytime your pc crashes M$ creates 'FILExxx.CHK' fragments of all broken files found. Although windows still runs, these remnants could actually be of much needed files.
