By the way, you can make your "rain" filter look more like "snow."

1. In Ulead VideoStudio 10+, I drag and drop the "rain" filter onto my timeline clip;

2. I click the CUSTOMIZE FILTER option of the ATTRIBUTE PANEL and that makes a new "RAIN" pop-up menu appear;

3. With my pointer positioned directly above the FIRST KEYFRAME, I adjust the LENGTH parameter to be shorter so that the "rain" looks more like "snow" and I make careful notes on a piece of paper of the settings that I choose.

4. I also experiment with the other adjustable parameters to suit my tastes;

5. I then move my pointer to the LAST keyframe and then I refer to my notes to make identical adjustments.

Voila! The "rain" filter now looks like a "snow" filter.

Try it.

It might save you the cost of buying additional effects programs.

:D

Cool!
I have Cool 3D 3.0 but it is not Production Studio so I get free trial for Cool 3D Production Studio and it is cool but it is for title. I looked for cost and is is 80 dolars, huh.

I tried to download from Boris FX for free trial 14 days but it wasn't working. It is for Adobe or others but not for Ulead.

Boris FX accept only Ulead MediaStudio but not videostudio.

After installing BorisFX to MediaStudio, you have to run it's installation program again for VideoStudio.

In fact if you have more than one version you have to run the installation program for each version.

I currently have on my hard drive
MediaStudio Pro 7
MediaStudio Pro 8
VideoStudio 9
VideoStudio 10.

I had to run the Boris FX installation program 4 times.

Boris Factory FX is located in the transitions FX folder as a single thumbnail.
Drag it onto your clips like any other transition and then select customize. This opens up a screen where you can now choose from 100 transition effects.
